  • The Baylor Suite

The Baylor Suite brings the Baylor signature green and gold to the forefront with a modern and elegant twist! From floor to ceiling, this room was inspired by Baylor University. We designed this space to be the ultimate comfort space, from the bedding to the softness of the LoLoi rug underfoot. The Baylor Suite offers two Full beds, and the original built-in 1950’s bookshelf hosting books and extras, including a piece from local Waco artist, Noodle and Lou. Whether you are here for for an Alumni weekend or a Bears game, this room will keep you inspired and enveloped in your green and gold! And don’t forget to say hi to “Bear” the room’s mascot and beacon of light (he’s the modern lamp on the nightstand!)

  • Livingroom Comfort

A mashup of modern and midcentury, this space is a combination of pattern, color, comfort and convenience in every corner. The dark navy leather sofa is “nap-tastic” and each niche in this space is design for function and flavor! The large artwork by Leah Nadeau is a standout piece and you can collect a piece like this too! Or did the Neon sign catch your eye? The layered rugs? Or the convenient remote controlled lighting? • Bathing in Comfortable Luxury

This bathroom is completely remodeled top to bottom. The centerpieces of this space are the gorgeous Dreamline Shower door and the modern Lulani faucets. When you peek into the original 1950s built-in linen closet, you will notice a fun update that gives guests a great surprise! All of the bathroom organization, towels and toiletries are linked for your convenience!

  • Kitchen

Taking out the upper cabinets in this kitchen really opened up the space and gave us an opportunity to display some artwork, and easy access to tableware and glasses. It’s hard not to notice the light fixtures and sleek hinged faucet, and soft runners lining both sides of the space! Don’t worry, we linked the kitchen items for you!

  • Social Dining & Games

Dining doesn’t have to be formal. In the social dining vignettes at McKenzie Corner, you can find multi-purpose furnishings that can be as functional and modular as they can be inspiring. A dining niche that fits 3 in the middle of the social space, or intimate enough to feel tucked away to enjoy that coffee and a write a blog post. These areas also include cubbies for family games from GrandpaBecks Games and who can miss the neon sign?

  • The Blue Room

Bringing an unexpected modern twist on two Colorado-favorite colors, this room was designed to be fun, inspiring and to pull in a little bit of Kevin and Julia’s hometown flare. Both being Colorado natives—they styled this space with a refined twist on the Denver Broncos colors: orange and blue. Adding an element of unexpected with cream and black, pink and purple—this design sprinkles in a bit of home with their signature design twist of adding a bit of unexpected, creating and cozy, yet exciting space to sleep, hang out and even work!

  • Luxe Laundry & Dr Pepper for Days

This room is one luxurious way to come into the back of the home and is an inspiring space for folding laundry. The walls are covered in a fun striped wallpaper, sturdy hooks by the door for your coat/bags and offers a mini beverage fridge stocked with the Waco-local invented Dr. Pepper. The soft round rug under foot and details sets the tone for the rest of the home.

  • Provence Room | Cozy Primary Bedroom

This large space was the perfect place to evoke that cozy feeling. The primary bedroom, we call the Provence room because we use the soft, dusty-blue “Provence” paint color. We have the main wall covered in a gorgeous monochromatic mid-century take on a fluer de lis pattern in a design called Jaipur, by Chasing Paper. The bedding and duvet cover feels like you sleeping in a cloud and we are proud to introduce to the softest rug invented. You may notice the coolest modern futon by Novogratz and remote controlled lights for convenience. We have each item linked if you want to bring these pieces into your own home!

  • Modern Rainfall Bathroom

Peeking into the primary bathroom from the Provence room, you will notice a handsome plaid that seems to take chic up to the next level. This bathroom features a matte black shower door with a grid that pulls in the grid on the Tempaper peel and stick wallpaper surrounding the space. You can’t miss the Magnolia olive tree and gorgeous, yet simple modern mid-century lighting. The floors are brand new and step out of the shower onto a drip-dry shower mat that makes an elegant statement.

  • Cloffice (Closet-Office)

Riiiiiight!!? Have you ever seen such a fun closet workspace? The peel and stick wallpaper by Tempaper and modern desk lamp are the stand out. This space was designed to take that Zoom call or tuck away to a quiet moment to type up your blog post. So the floating desk and ring light are perfectly staged for work, inspiration and comfort!

  • Front Porch Views

The front porch sets the stage for the rest of the home. When you approach the front of McKenzie Corner, you instantly notice the patterned front porch rug, gorgeous modern couch and outdoor artwork. Yes, we need artwork outside too! Although there are lights built into the covered porch, the remote-controlled, plug-in light fixture adds an element of design and drama. The door is painted that Baylor Green we all know and love and you cannot miss the large, original picture windows from your view. We beefed up the front porch posts and built a modern railing system for guest convenience.

  • Front Sitting Room w/ Coffee & Cocktails

We like to think of this side of the living room as the swanky sitting space. Perfect for morning coffee, it is reminiscent of a barista bar, yet, as it turns to evening, you can easily find yourself near the beverage nook for a glass of wine or evening cocktail. The main camel colored sofa converts to a twin sized sleeper. This space was designed to be multi-faced and used for dining, drinks, relaxing, reading or to comfortably add an extra bed.

  • Gallery Hallway

If we could actually live in this hallway, like move right in, we would. This is the moodiest, coolest hallway EVER. The tall paneling on the wall drives your eye up. The stunning hand-woven rug underfoot draws your eyes through the space. The light fixture casts a shadow design on the ceiling that creates a special moment. The paint color ties each room into the hallway and the textured artwork pulls in interest and inspiration. This is one of our favorite transformations in the home!

  • Back Patio

Calling all cafe-light lovers! This outdoor space screams social space and transforms at night to a moody light-lit comfort zone at night. With a grill, fire pit and fully fenced side yard, the back patio and back yard bring the function and style. Fence lighting and cafe lights are both solar powered and automatically turn on a dusk, leaving this space aglow without any maintenance. If you are looking for the perfect outdoor furnishings and lights, we have you covered with these recommendations!
