Spring One Room Challenge 2022
Sponsored by Apartment Therapy
Mood board for our son’s room going from elementary to a modern Middle school handsome hangout!
One Room Challenge re-boot! Life took over in the fall and I was unable to complete my son’s room SO…this Spring, starting now, I am taking on the challenge to reinvent this space and pick up where we left off—at the beginning! This space has been sitting in the same state for months now and it is time to get this handsome hangout happening.
It wouldn’t be as entertaining to keep the plans the same so of course, in true scope creep fashion, we have now added his bathroom too. I saw a top mount faux-stone sink that I had to incorporate into the design, so decided to go for it this time around.
Let’s recap on where we started in the fall and where it still stands today:
The “BEFORE” (linked)
and my favorite…the “SOURCES” upfront! (linked) Because why wait until the end?
Since we added the bathroom, I have a few more sources to add, including the stunning top-mount sink we decided to go with. So, as we go along, you can expect us to incorporate the new sources in future weeks’ posts. But check out the rough sketch I decided on over breakfast one morning, and the subsequent rough sourcing screen shots that afternoon. (below)
Okkkkkk, now that you absorbed the “before” posts and have taken a gander at the items we sourced, soak in this last “before picture” and follow along over the next 7 weeks as we transform this space with over 300 Guest Participants, in the 10 year edition of One Room Challenge, sponsored by Apartment Therapy. Find me @GreyDomain and other participant features using hashtag #ORCAT on Instagram and stay tuned for blog post updates on Wednesdays each week by following the One Room Challenge website HERE.
Here’s a “clean room” before shot for reference. Let’s see if Brown Puppy will approve the new finished space in 7 weeks!
