This week was all about the little victories. Between tax day, domestic duties (does the laundry ever end?!), and celebrating Easter with Kevin’s side of the family the weekend was spoken for. So, I focused on what we could accomplish, to move the project forward. That said, for some reason this little “false-drawer front conversion project” had me a bit unnerved and doubting myself . As such, I have to admit that procrastination set in a bit this week, complicating matters. (Not to mention that I didn’t want to ruin the paint job I worked so hard to manage.) Ha! Welp, I ended up finding a solution to fix all the things…except the laundry. (Sigh)
Solution: I found a hinged drawer front kit on Amazon. It caught my eye because of their packaging, which overtly states that the tilting drawer bin contraption could be installed in 11 minutes. Ok…I have 11 minutes this week, amongst all else. And if it’s only 11 minutes, I am sure that it can’t be so complicated to install, that even I can do it, right?. So I went for it.
What happened next was like taking that 11 minutes for a ride on SpaceX into a black hole where time doesn’t exist. It’s fine. I am fine. Listen, I survived—and so did my drawer front!
